Team Qualifications

DBS

A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check confirms that an individual has no criminal convictions that would prevent them from working in specific settings, especially where vulnerable people are involved. It's a key part of safeguarding in UK industries.

Diisocyanate training

Mandatory under REACH regulations from August 2023, this training is required for workers handling diisocyanates—chemicals commonly used in spray paints and foams. It helps prevent occupational asthma and meets UK/EU compliance.

COSHH

COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training covers how to handle hazardous materials safely in line with UK regulations. This helps employers meet their duty to protect workers from harmful substances under the COSHH 2002 Regulations.

Lechler approved applicators

Accreditation from Lechler confirms professional-level competency in using their industrial paints and coatings. This ensures application meets manufacturer specifications and UK industry standards.

Colourspray approved applicators

Being a Colourspray approved applicator certifies that staff have been trained by the manufacturer to apply specialist coatings using the brand’s standards, ensuring quality finishes in line with UK professional expectations.

Working at Height

This training ensures staff understand how to work safely at height and follow the UK’s Work at Height Regulations. It reduces the risk of falls and accidents in elevated work environments.

Noxyde approved applicators

Being a Noxyde approved applicator indicates specific training to apply Rust-Oleum’s corrosion-resistant coatings, ensuring compliance with product guidelines and high-performance UK applications.

Facefit

Face Fit Testing ensures that tight-fitting respirators provide adequate protection for the wearer. It’s required by UK law under the HSE’s Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.

Manual Handling

Manual Handling training teaches correct lifting techniques to prevent injuries and comply with the UK’s Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. It’s essential for health and safety in physical roles.

PASMA

PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association) training qualifies workers to assemble, inspect, and safely use mobile access towers, helping employers meet Work at Height Regulations 2005.

IPAF

The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) licence proves an individual has been trained to safely operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), such as cherry pickers or scissor lifts—essential for working at height in the UK.

NVQ Level 2 Industrial Spraying

An NVQ Level 2 demonstrates a nationally recognised qualification in spray painting. It validates practical skills and knowledge for industrial surface treatment, meeting UK vocational training standards.

Asbestos awareness (UKATA approved)

UKATA (UK Asbestos Training Association) accredited training ensures employees understand the dangers of asbestos exposure. It’s a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 for those who may disturb asbestos in their work.

CSCS (skilled & labourer)

The CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card demonstrates that individuals have the training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out on construction sites. It’s a standard requirement for working safely in UK construction environments.
